Analysis Streams
Bringing academic critical theory and industry design insights to a broad audience is an important part of my personal mission to spread knowledge, beauty, and fun to as many people as I can.
In 2015, I started what was, to my knowledge, the first academic analysis stream on Twitch, Scholars Play—a stream for scholars of various academic disciplines to come together to analyze games from their respective backgrounds. Scholars Play ran for almost a decade, and I spoke about it at Twitchcon in 2017 alongside other hosts of the stream.
Today, my personal stream Cerebral Arcade has built a thriving community of game developers, scholars, and insightful intellectuals. Together the community analyzes the narrative and design aspects of various popular and independent games together.
